Nikki Walker has more than10 years of experience in the public & non-profit education sectors where she has served in roles with MNPS, YMCA, YWCA, PENCIL, ENHE and most recently with the National Museum of African American Music (NMAAM) as their Education & Programs Manager. Nikki is a Nashville native and graduate of Tennessee State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications and a Masters of Education in Organizational Leadership & Communications from Belmont University. She also completed the Teacher Education Program at Fisk University. Nikki has been a long-time supporter of East Nashville Hope Exchange, having most recently served on our Board of Directors. She is skilled at establishing and sustaining partnerships with community/corporate organizations and students, serving families, and she is excited to bring that experience to ENHE!
Joya Russell Program Coordinator
An East Nashville native, Joya Russell has been active in the field of education development for the past eight years, focusing on early childhood education. Most recently, Joya was the Office & Development Assistant, serving families at Fannie Battle Day Home for Children. She has compassion for children and their families and enjoys giving back to her community through various volunteer work. Retaining her Child Development Associate credentials, Joya is in the process of furthering her education to better serve the families near and dear to her heart.
