ENHE Board member Kathy Hoover-Dempsey (Professor Emerita, Psychology & Human Development, Peabody College, Vanderbilt University) serves ENHE because:
ENHE is an extraordinary organization working collaboratively with parents and their young children in the East Nashville community in support of parents’ active and knowledgeable engagement in helping their children learn to read—and their enjoyment of reading! Excellent teachers work on reading activities with children in a welcoming classroom, as parents participate in an interactive workshop focused on children’s development of varied reading skills—as well as family activities at home that support children’s development and enjoyment of reading skills.
